Overall not the best matcha there although it is particularly good for it's price. 10 pounds for 100g of matcha is very inexpensive. Although it would come with it's downsides. The colour isn't brilliant as you can see in the image. On the tissue, the left matcha is this matcha powder while the other matcha is about double the price but quite good quality. The taste of the matcha is alright but doesn't seem to be very strong, as when I did my normal milk:matcha ratio, I could bearly taste the matcha. While mixing the matcha had a thick, almost slimy texture which is something I've never experienced before but it needed a lot of water to try remove the thick texture. It also didn't form a microfoam as when I tried I got large bubbles and when I came back from getting the ice, they had faded away. Overall, I don't think I would buy it again due to my preferences although I think it is extremely beginner friendly as it is the exact same as many other brands without having to pay such a large price. It's is genuinely the best matcha for price but I don't think it will be my daily matcha for I value the strength of taste, colour and texture. However if you are looking for a cheap matcha to begin your matcha journey with a good size of packet and decent green colour, this is likely the one for you!

Sadly this matcha description does not match the content. Described as Ceremonial matcha but this description is not on the actual packaging (no grade mentioned at all). It tastes very faintly of matcha and it is at best food grade.....very disappointing. Be aware that this item is also non refundable, so if you return it to Amazon you will be on the phone for at least 20 min. Thanks Amazon for refunding the purchasing price!

It's not ceremonial grade but it's likely real food grade matcha at least, for the price I'm not complaining.I did the streak test and it behaves like real matcha should. The taste is a bit mild compared to some matcha I've had and it doesn't froth up super well, but it tastes good and mixes well if you use a proper matcha whisk.Overall not a bad product, not ceremonial grade though so keep that in mind if you're having a tea ceremony with your strict Japanese in-laws.

I originally gave this product a bad review & moaned that it didn’t mix well and clumped. I then tried different ways of mixing and used a small sieve to add the powder to a mug, mixed with boiling water and then after mixing using the sieve again while pouring the matcha into milk for an iced matcha latte. It kept all the clumps out of my drink and works perfectly. It’s a lovely tasting matcha and I drink it daily. After my negative review the company very kindly offered me a full refund, which I have refused as I have now works out how to strain it properly and enjoy the matcha very much. So much I have repurchase it a second time. 10/10 would deffo recommend this product and recommend using a strainer or bamboo matcha whisk to get get any and all clumps out!
Can't compare with other Macha Teas as never had it before. Will update at a later date when I know more.I did actually try to send it back as didn't realise it had Caffeine in, but unfortunately didn't realise it was No Returns on this item, but the company kindly sent a message saying they would take it back. Unfortunately I've opened it now so will use it up & report back once I've finished the bag.Good bunch..WILL buy from again 👍
I have tried green tea in the past for the known benefits - weight loss, antioxidants etcetera, but i haven't been able to abide the taste. This is different from generic tea bag green tea. There is almost no bitter taste, just an earthy .. earthy taste, which is not unpleasant (I drink it for the benefit). My advice is not to over do it. You can swil this like coffee. You will throw up! it is potent. One cup in the morning does me. Any more and I overheat and get jittery. less is more.
Love this. I've tried a few different brands of ceremonial grade and this one has a nice smooth texture with a lovely mild taste. It's very pleasant to drink on it's own, not bitter at all, although I love green teas anyway. It also has a great froth and dissolves well, compared to some other brands. Will definitely buy again.Only negative is the packet - when I reseal it, it's so difficult to get it open again. That's very very annoying, otherwise I would give it five stars.
I’m sure it’s awesome stuff, if you can stand the taste.
I decided to try this due to hearing that it has some boosting effects to energy.I've only tried it twice now but definitely felt more alert & energised. Having said that I personally think it tastes vile 😕 but as it's such a small amount to drink I knock it back to appreciate it's benefits.I obviously haven't got a sophisticated palate ☺ will continue to drink it if it carries on making me feel more awake & if it helps me loose weight too then that'll be a complete bonus 😆
